Beneteau Oceanis 500, MOONRISE. Built 1991

We believe that MOONRISE is currently the biggest boat available in Scotland for bareboat charter. She is coded to carry 10 / 12 people for overnight charters, or 14 for daytime sailing such as corporate days, and team building.
In the main body of the yacht, there are four double cabins, all with en-suit toilet and shower. The saloon table can be lowered to form a huge double, if this is required. The final two berths can be found in a small cabin right up in the bow. This was originally designed as crew quarters, and is entered only from a large deck hatch. Here you will find two single bunks, a wash hand basin and a large central heating radiator.

The yacht is fully centrally heated, by a 10kw Eberspacher, and benefits from hot water, heated by a shore power immersion heater, or by the 85HP Perkins engine. All the cabins were reupholstered in 2006.
A full set of TackTick instruments is supplemented by a Raymarine chart plotter, within easy reach of the twin steering wheels.

Her powerful rig, consists of a furling genoa, and fully battened mainsail stowed in a lazy bag.
Reefing is by conventional slab reefing, carried out at the mast, where the crew are well protected by a mast pulpit.
The early part of her life was spent in the Caribbean, followed by a spell commuting between the south of Ireland and the Canaries, so she will have no trouble sailing around the Clyde and the West Coast. She is normally based in Largs Yacht Haven.
Please Note - No weekend charters between May and August.
