The S31 has the agility of a cruiser-racer and is beautifully light and responsive on the helm. Sails are easily managed with roller reefing for the head sail, and single line slab reefing for the mainsail. All the lines and halyards are led back to the cockpit, and the mainsheet track is on the coach roof, forward of the generous spray hood, well out of harms way.

Handling under engine is a delight having a saildrive unit instead of the conventional shaft drive. This reduces vibration and noise, making motoring a much more relaxing activity.

Below decks, the after cabin has been utilises the whole width of the hull, and now incorporates an escape hatch direct to the cockpit which provides extra light and ventilation. The heads compartment is on the starboard side and is considerably more spacious than previous Moody 31' models. Features include a shower, and a 240v shaver socket fed from an inverter.

Opposite the heads is the galley, with a Neptune 2000 cooker and a refrigerated ice box. The stainless steel sink is, of course supplied from the pressurised hot and cold water system. Water storage has been doubled from the previous models and although this reduces the storage space in the main saloon, this is compensated for by large bins, built under the fore peak berths.  Equipment is to the highest of standards, including, warm air central heating, G.P.S. and dinghy outboard motor.  FLAMINGO is available from our base in Largs Yacht Haven.  As with all our yachts the price includes, diesel, gas, and berthage within Largs Marina.
